This is the 99th Surah of the Qur’an. It has 8 verses. As mentioned earlier, many of the verses and especially the last several Surahs of the Qur’an relate to the life of the world as well as to the Hereafter, and similarly to Revolutions in the world and to the Great Cosmic Metamorphosis (Apocalypse).



With the Glorious Name of God, the Instant and Sustaining Source of all Mercy and Kindness



A mighty Revolution will overtake the world

I.e., on the Day of Judgment the earth will bear witness, as it were, to all that has ever been done by man: an explanation given by the Prophet, according to a Tradition on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (quoted by Ibn Hanbal and Tirmidhi).

Lit., ''as separate entities" (ashtatan). Cf. 6:94 - "And now, indeed, you have come unto Us in a lonely state, even as We created you in the first instance": thus stressing the individual, untransferable responsibility of every human being.
