For, when they come to understand what has been bestowed from on high upon this Apostle, thou canst see their eyes overflow with tears, because they recognize something of its truth;* [and] they say: "O our Sustainer! We do believe; make us one, then, with all who bear witness to the truth.
waźa smAwa ma anzl aly alrswl trya aAynhm tfyD mn aldmA mma Arfwa mn alHq yqwlwn rbna aamna faktbna mA alşahdyn
Nor [shall blame attach] to those who, when they came unto thee [O Prophet, with the request] that thou provide them with mounts, were told by thee, "I cannot find anything whereon to mount you" - [whereupon] they turned away, their eyes overflowing with tears out of sorrow that they had no means to spend [on their equipment].
wla Aly alźyn aźa ma atwk ltHmlhm qlt la ajd ma aHmlkm Alyh twlwa waAynhm tfyD mn aldmA Hzna ala yjdwa ma ynfqwn
[However,] you will be committing no sin if [during the pilgrimage] you seek to obtain any bounty from your Sustainer.* And when you surge downward in multitudes from `Arafat,* remember God at the holy place, and remember Him as the One who guided you after you had indeed been lost on your way;*
lys Alykm jnaH an tbtğwa fDla mn rbkm faźa afDtm mn Arfat faźkrwa allh And almşAr alHram waźkrwh kma hdyakm wan kntm mn qblh lmn alDalyn
and surge onward together with the multitude of all the other people who surge onward,* and ask God to forgive you your sins: for, verily, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.
And the inmates of the fire will call out unto the inmates of paradise: "Pour some water upon us, or some of the sustenance [of paradise] which God has provided for you!" [The inmates of paradise] will reply: "Verily, God has denied both to those who have denied the truth -
wnadya aSHab alnar aSHab aljnẗ an afyDwa Alyna mn almaa aw mma rzqkm allh qalwa an allh Hrmhma Aly alkafryn
AND IN whatever condition thou mayest find thyself, [O Prophet,] and whatever discourse of this [divine writ]* thou mayest be reciting, and whatever work you [all, O men,] may do -[remember that] We are your witness* [from the moment] when you enter upon it: for, not even an atom's weight [of whatever there is] on earth or in heaven escapes thy Sustainer's knowledge; and neither is there anything smaller than that, or larger, but is recorded in [His] clear decree.
wma tkwn fy şan wma ttlwa mnh mn qraan wla tAmlwn mn Aml ala kna Alykm şhwda aź tfyDwn fyh wma yAzb An rbk mn mśqal źrẗ fy alarD wla fy alsmaa wla aSğr mn źalk wla akbr ala fy ktab mbyn
And were it not for God's favour upon you, [O men,] and His grace in this world and in the life to come, awesome suffering would indeed have afflicted you* in result of all [the calumny] in which you indulge
Or do they say, He has invented all this"? Say [O Muhammad]: Had I invented it, you would not be of the least help to me against God.* He is fully aware of that [slander] into which you so recklessly plunge: enough is He as a witness between me and you! And [withal,] He alone is truly-forgiving, a true dispenser of grace."*
